The Northern River Basins Study was a four-year study of the affects of development on the aquatic resources of the Peace, Athabasca and Slave River basins in Northern Canada. The Project Team conducted the study for the governments of Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Canada. One of the objectives of the study was to determine how Northerners use and value these river basins.

A random sample of residents in the basin were notified of the survey by telephone, and over 1500 surveys were distributed to willing participants. Praxis designed, implemented and completed the data entry of this survey process in association with Drobot Data Services.
