The Banff Community Plan Steering Committee commissioned Praxis and Chinook Winds Consulting Limited to conduct a statistically valid random sample survey of Banff households. The consultation team delivered the survey to Banff residents; questions focused on quality-of-life issues as well as growth and future development concerns for the town. In total 569 surveys, totalling approximately 76,000 questions, were completed. The Team analyzed the data; these findings informed the background materials for preparation of Banff’s 1996 Municipal Development Plan.
