Praxis, in association with Dr. Rick Rollins, worked with a 17-member steering committee to undertake a random sample household survey focused on outdoor recreation. The committee included provincial, regional district and municipal government officials. The survey determined the demand for outdoor recreation, participation levels, and preferences for and attitudes towards outdoor recreation.

This project, coordinated through the Greater Vancouver Regional District, involved five lower mainland regional districts of Greater Vancouver, Fraser Cheam, Central Fraser, Squamish Lillooet, and Dewdney Alouette. Praxis mailed the survey to over 3,000 randomly selected households. We obtained a response rate of over 30 percent. Praxis designed and delivered the survey and analyzed the data. We also drafted the recommendations and prepared a final report for the project.
