Praxis completed the study, Kitimat: Surviving the Test of Time, that examined the 30 year history of the town developed for Alcan Aluminum in northwest BC. Commissioned by Alcan, the study involved a review of the original goals for the community and assessed these against Kitimat’s progress over a 30 year period.
Praxis used the Canstar RCS database and conducted one-on-one interviews with the families and employees of Ocelot Industries, which had recently built a new methanol plant in the community.
