Praxis conducted a social and economic impact assessment as well as a fiscal impact and cost/benefit analysis for Cardinal River Coal Ltd. (CRC). This involved on-site interviews with both local Cadomin and regional residents. Praxis also provided advice and services for a continuing public consultation program for both CRC and the Cadomin Environmental Protection Association (CEPA). As part of the program, Praxis, in cooperation with CRC and CEPA, designed and administered a joint questionnaire of all full and part-time residents of Cadomin. The public consultation was part of CRC’s EIA for the expansion of its existing mine.
