The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) contracted Praxis Research to develop and conduct a research study involving CCS donors and beneficiaries. The purpose of the study was to solicit feedback from persons designated as Owners (those that donate to the CCS and those that are direct beneficiaries of services) on CCS objectives, priorities and services.

Praxis completed the data collection for this work, which involved the design, material preparation, recruitment and facilitation of ten focus groups across Alberta and the NWT.  Participants included cancer patients, families and/or caregivers, and CCS donors. Praxis also designed the survey instrument that was administered online or as a mail-out survey.

After compiling the data gathered through the survey and workshops, Praxis undertook the data analysis and prepared the final report for presentation to the CCS Board of Directors in September 2005.
