For the W. Maurice Young Centre for Applied Ethics at the University of British Columbia, Praxis Pacific designed, organized, and moderated over 30 focus groups related to democracy, genomics and ethics.

This multi-year Genome Canada-funded project was designed to evaluate methods of ethical analysis on how best to involve the public and experts in public policy related to ethics and genomics. Praxis conducted focus groups with randomly recruited members of the public, experts in the field, non-governmental organizations, Aboriginal groups, and senior citizens. Praxis used N6 qualitative data analysis software to analyze the data.
