Project Type

Timeframe
1997 to 1999

Closure of the 750-acre military base in Calgary’s inner city meant the redevelopment of the major landholding. Praxis, in association with Davis and Associates, was awarded the assignment to determine Calgarians’ views on the redevelopment of these lands. A Citizens’ Advisory Roundtable consisting of a chairman and 17 local and city-wide representatives was established to review the redevelopment process.

Praxis used a number of tools throughout the consultation process including charrettes, focus groups, workshops, interviews, display panels, open houses, newsletters, newspaper inserts and random sample surveys using both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
