Together, Praxis and Westco developed an approach for the decommissioning of the Westco fertilizer plant in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Given the success of the approach, Westco contracted Praxis to assist in the design and implementation of a similar process for the inactive fertilizer plant in southeast Calgary. First, Praxis developed a communications plan and created a public liaison committee. To support the public process Praxis also organized open houses; developed advertising materials; and prepared display panels, brochures and fact sheets.
