Client

Project Type

Timeframe
1997 to 2000

Praxis developed the overall consultation strategy for the proposed redevelopment of the Chateau Lake Louise to meet the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency requirements. Praxis placed advertisements in eight community newspapers; managed a 1-800 toll free number to solicit interest; distributed information packages and comment sheets to over 1200 “interested parties”; organized open houses in Lake Louise and Calgary; and facilitated a stakeholder workshop with ENGOs, government agencies and business organizations.

Canadian Pacific Hotels received approval from Parks Canada, representing the federal government, on its application; however, it was delayed in the Court of Appeal.
