The Whistler Centre for Business and the Arts sponsored a one-week workshop on public consultation. The Centre retained Richard Roberts in association with John Talbot (Talbot and Associates) and Bruce Fraser (Salasan Consultants) to lead the workshop. The course concentrated on defining public consultation; developing a consultation program; methods and techniques for public consultation; guidelines for applying the process; communication skills for engaging the public; facilitating the consultation process; and emerging trends and issues.
