In this role, Richard Roberts worked for two years on an ongoing basis with the Executive Office of the Government of the Tsuu T’ina Nation (formerly Sarcee Nation). Richard advised the Employment and Human Resources Development team and sat as a member of the Tsuu T’ina Nation Economic Development Committee.

In these capacities he assisted in development of the following programs: on-reserve academic upgrading programs for both Tsuu T’ina staff and the unemployed; Construction Trades Program (seventeen trainees in various stages of their apprenticeship programs with ten new houses and a treatment centre under construction); Farm Vehicle Maintenance Program (vehicle repair shop), with four apprentices, coupled with a program to regain Tsuu T’ina agricultural/farming lands; and employment opportunities for summer students and the long-term unemployed.
