The Canadian Council for Ministers of the Environment (CCME) contracted Komex International to produce a work plan that would provide a framework to develop national standards for petroleum hydrocarbons in soil using existing scientific and social information. Acting as a sub-consultant, Praxis advised on the social, economic and public involvement components of the work plan. Based on its findings, the Komex-Praxis team drafted the work plan, which was presented to the CCME in a two-day workshop. Based on input gathered through the workshop, the work plan was modified and a final version was produced for the CCME.
