As part of a larger review team coordinated by Gartner Lee Environmental Consultants, Praxis reviewed the SEIA components of the environmental application by de Beers Canada Limited for its new diamond mine in the Northwest Territories. The review was undertaken on behalf of the Mackenzie Valley Environmental Assessment Review Board. It included all aspects of the social and economic components of the project. The results were included in the Project Approval Final Report for the Board; it approved the project with 85 recommendations and conditions in August 2003.
