The GoA initiated the Budget 2013 Consultation to give Albertans the opportunity to indicate what they how they would strike a balance between multiple provincial priorities.  Praxis was contracted to implement a two-phase consultation process.  The first phase consisted of an online survey to gather public feedback about provincial spending priorities, infrastructure development, and saving for the future.  A total of 2,149 surveys were completed.  Praxis analysed the data from the online survey and prepared a report detailing the results. Praxis facilitated and recorded nine public sessions in locations throughout Alberta in phase two. The purpose of the discussion sessions was to provide Albertans with information about the budget process and to address the questions in the public survey in more detail.  Over 200 individuals participated in the discussion sessions.  Praxis prepared individual session summaries and a roll-up summary of the main themes emerging from the nine public sessions.
